From a side project to a launched product.
I built Rangley because group chats never turned into plans. People wanted to do things (coffee, tennis, a casual run), but the gap between "I'd be down" and "I'm out the door" was where everything died.
So I shipped an app that closed it. One tap to create, one tap to join, no swiping. I built every layer myself: SwiftUI on the front, Swift Vapor on the back, AWS in the middle. ECS, RDS, CloudWatch, and the kind of on-call instincts you only earn at 2 a.m.
In March 2026, I retired the servers. Rangley is no longer available to download. But the work it produced (the proof I can ship a real product end-to-end) is what led directly to what I'm building now: Dealifier, a React Native app launching in Charlotte.
